Massachusetts Community and Technical Colleges
The two-year community, vocational and technical schools in Massachusetts do a great job of preparing students for new jobs or for earning the general education credits they can later use when they transfer to a four-year college. Most cities have one of these schools, here is a short list:
Berkshire Community College is a typical two-year school in Pittsfield.
Bristol Community College is located in Fall River.
Cape Cod Community College can help you out in West Barnstable.
The credits you earn from these schools can not only be transferred to other colleges in Massachusetts, but also to schools across the country.
You can click here, for example, to see colleges in Georgia and find out how fast you can earn a degree with transferred credits. Or if the Great Lakes area of the country is more to your liking, you could transfer to a big state college in Ohio or Michigan.
Or if you want to go to school someplace more unique — how about Las Vegas? Attending college in the city of Las Vegas would be different. You would just have to be disciplined about not letting the nightlife get in the way of your studies. Read more about college in Las Vegas and the rest of Nevada.
